Our first time at the Arabic Lounge - we found it to be a pleasant experience with prompt and polite service, also the food was great, the only min point was the hot sun coming through the window that we had no control over.

I always love going to a themed restaurant, it creates a fun experience. The place was wonderfully decorated with couches making it a comfortable and relaxing dinner. You did have to eat on your lap which did not bother us. The service was a bit slow but thats expected in Amsterdam. The food was good with great options especially if you are vegetarian.

It was great! We really liked the interior, very cozy, even an unusual way to eat with the plates standing on your knees - but it was kind of an adventure into the Moroccan culture :-) We ordered chief's menu, so every dish was a surprise - decent portions, very fresh ingredients, nice presentation with a hint of french style, by the time we got our dessert we were full! Then we had Shesha - very smooth, we liked it, the music was just right, the service was fast, the waiter was a very nice and welcoming guy, 10 out of ten, will definitely come back! - the bill, but it was because of the amount we ordered, plus alcohol and shesha.

Very disappointed! With such a name (arabic lounge), we expected a warm and sweet atmosphere... It was cold even freezing. We had to eat with the plate on the knees in the smoking area (I asked for a non-smoking one…). We even had to move from a sofa to another one in the middle of the dinner for 3 smoker-men-guests… a bit macho? The food was not more than correct (I have to admit that the dessert was nice). Water very expensive (5 Eur/l). Service cold. It is the first time we take part of this restaurantweek… We heard that only the best restaurants of Amsterdam participate to the event. Arabic lounge should not be one of them… I hope we’ll be luckier next time.
